A Bit About Me...Professionally
As a classroom teacher and school-based administrator for many years, I have been honored to work with parents, students and fellow educators from various cultural, educational, and socioeconomic backgrounds in New York, North Carolina, and Florida. As an online instructor for more than seven years, I have had the opportunity to work with adult learners from all over the globe.
My undergraduate degree in Psychology/Elementary Education is from the College of Mount Saint Vincent in the Bronx. I earned my Masters in Curriculum at Western Connecticut State University, then moved to Florida before the ink was dry on my diploma. After completing the Educational Leadership program at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, I enrolled in the doctoral program at NSU. In 2003, I earned my Doctorate in Curriculum Development and Systemic Change.
In the fall of 2010, I flew to Denver to attend an intensive 3-day Love and Logic® training session hosted by Jim Fay, Dr. Charles Fay and Dr. Foster Cline. As corny as it may sound, this was a life changing experience for me! When I returned home to Dutchess County, I knew I had to share what I learned with other parents.

A Bit About Me...Personally
In 2009, I married the guy I had a crush on when I was 10 years old - and got two amazing children as part of the deal!
When I am not facilitating one class or another, much time is devoted to being a Soccer Mom as well as volunteering time and energy to various Dover Union Free School District (DUFSD) activities and committees.
My 5-year term on the Board of Education for the DUFSD began in May 2010. I have learned so much already and continue to do so everyday. My reason for getting involved in such a big way is to help facilitate changes to teaching and learning in our local schools.
Free time (haha) is spent with family or cheering at the kids' assorted sporting events. On a chilly evening you will find me soaking in the hot tub. On a warm Sunday afternoon, you will find me at the soccer field or in the hammock with a trashy novel.
